Audio Poetry Jukebox: Helena Mccarthy has Attitude Problem

Dear Poetry Lover,

I have written over 300 poems including English and Hindi languages. This is my first attempt to record one of my English Poetry. Please listen to it and give your valuable comments.

The poetry describes a mid 30s young woman’s life in a cliched way (as many of us have seen in movies).

The original lines of the poetry you can find on this page. Link below:

Stupid Adam & Eve

30Apr- Stupid Adam & Eve

Stupid Adam & Eve

Adam and Eve

Went up the hill,

Loosen up their feet,

Lied down to chill;

*

Isolated from the world

To ignite the new relationship,

Work out on their problems

Dancing their heart out until they flipped;

*

They roll down to the ground.

Poor funny souls!

Want to be illogical,

And often laugh at each other’s faults!

*

They are mysterious not so grumpy.

Childish as they were before;

Now, who’s going to tell them

That they are in love?

Completing NaPoWriMo 2017 challenge with the 30th poem. It’s been a pleasure participating and even successfully completing the poetry month challenge four years straight in a row. I am sure that with this, I will get back enthusiasm and energy back for writing more and more, not just poetry but stories and even, a novel (ahh… a long time procrastinated dream)

The Charm of Her Presence

28Apr - The Charm of Her Presence

The Charm of Her Presence

Leave the stains of my blood,

You might want to get off,

Staring at him like that

Is going to cost you your nose;

*

Damn! She is beautiful.

And I missed what he blabbered,

Rage! Not recommended at this heated moment;

And here comes another punch like a hammer!

*

Had I gone blind?

His nose is bleeding while he stammers!

Oh, her magnificent eye’s so appreciative of you!

Hard to believe but now I kiss her.

Helena Mccarthy has Attitude Problem

25Apr - Helena Mccarthy has an Attitude Problem

Helena Mccarthy has an Attitude Problem

Miss Helena Mccarthy,

A poster lady

In her sweet 30s,

Often shows up in her velvety gown

At her front door in the morning 7:30

*

Miss Helena Mccarthy,

A princess alike beauty,

Looks up for something

And gets disappointed to find nothing

In the entire territory

*

Miss Helena Mccarthy,

Seemingly

A hapless victim of this society,

May want to have a reason to say ‘Hi’

But gives up as they think she’s too sexy

*

Miss Helena Mccarthy,

Who’s taught to learn four languages

Only to communicate with her diary,

Dresses up every evening for an imaginary man

Who can at least say, “Dear Ms. Mccarthy!”

The Odour of Love

22Apr - The Odour of Love

The Odour of Love

Hey,

Can we play the police game?

You, be the police,

Chase me down the lane,

I run to tap my friends

Ensuring they are safe,

You close your eyes deliberately

Wait for me to hold your hand.

*

In the ruin of the moment,

Can we see the cloud fooling rain?

The magnetism of your hysterical laugh

Has always faded my brain.

*

A line of soul, the feel of touch!

Now, the shameless distance will shorten.

You, be my breezy love,

Pull me up at the height in my amazement.

*

The world isn’t a boundary anymore,

But the sky does seem small and pale,

What happened to the sun?

Did you draw it during this mess?

Effective but not much of a distraction

When I have you, you have me

Isn’t that enough?

Love does feel simple and impossible. Ask yourself – Who is that person you want to spend your evening?

A Letter underneath My Pillow

A Letter underneath My Pillow

It’s hard to say the exact word now
What I used to say in those days
But I must try to hear it in my mind
And spell it out for you if you forget
*
The bus stop, the mingling park
The laughter club and the rooster annoyance
I made my hardest effort
Not to feel your presence
*
But like the unstoppable political crunches
Your thought has embodied in me
And I can’t fake it as normal anymore
“You are my shadow and I am your blink
Give my empathy to the light
They are not true like you and me!”

A Filament of Philosophy

He taps on everyone’s mind

And listens to what’s inside him;

She thinks of a leaf reaching to the ground

And tries to feel the texture in it;

*

A series of filaments

Keeps emitting the source of knowledge

Both unravels the idea attached

And transcends it into a creative phase

*

At times, they both smile

While watching the old memories

He ticks the box of chocolates,

She crunches the chocolate boxes;

*

Hindrance what they often used to find

Let it strain their hearts in agony

They forgot the meaning of those interactions

And immersed their heads in the ‘being practical’ philosophy!

A Slice of Love or What?

a-slice-of-love-or-what2

Love,

A magic beyond any defined line,

Greater than the galaxy

Spread across the sky.

Dance, my love, like the moon;

Touche, for our earthly pride!

When you rejoice

I fall into the light,

But right after the beat,

You’ll have me on your sight.

Repetition seems to be our only common Jazz.

Are we still furious at the little slice of our life?

A tear dropped on a key of the piano.

Who knows who’s humming now,

You, me or fools like us staring at the infinite?

Found You, Maybe!

Found You Maybe - 21

Found You, Maybe!

Chased you,

Crossed you,

Mimicked you,

Smiled at you,

Looked at you,

*

High on this passionate moment

But didn’t forget to blink at you,

Lifted my hand to touch you

Real, indeed real it is;

Those beautiful dazzling eyes of you!

I had to measure my height

So, came closer to you,

Just like the glorious historical tale,

Wondering what to say to you;

It was hell of heat out there

But I flickered to show my coolness to you;

*

Silly, it may be,

But you are the key to discover ‘me’,

Possibly, the dearest one,

Yes, you are the one!

Lost somewhere between pick and choose,

I, for the true love, finally kissed you!

21st poem of NaPoWriMo 2016 series!

How passionately you love! No matter how many times we write the same old love story it still feels refreshing every time. Does this remind you anything at all?

Clown In Love

The First Clown - 20.jpg

Clown In Love

In the most illustrated era,

Some woods were cut down

To help building a machine

With capabilities of creating clown;

*

Mostly, it seemed like a puppet show

With strings attached to us,

But we discovered a new way

To produce laughter for bubbly period;

*

Bored from everyday performance,

The clown whooshed the world away;

Held the guitar and big red rose,

Fell in love and sang on that rainy day!

*

“I leaned on the music of light

Considering myself not so smart,

But for this merrier story

Paint me some art!”

20th poem on the 20th day of NaPoWriMo 2016 challenge.
